The slowly decaying Bonerattle Island is annexed by the True Salmon Emperor Mushanokouji during a border skirmish with Inkadia. The prisoners there are are sent on a boat east to make them Inkadia's problem, and the island is converted into a gladiator arena for Salmonid prisoners already facing capital punishment.
- The Bonerattle prisoners manage to hijack the ship they were sent on mid-sail and dock in the Splatlands instead, scattering.

1947

Captain Craig Cuttlefish retires, officially at least.

1966

Ark Polaris crashes into the middle of the Bay of Inkoplis, killing hundreds in Inkadia and the Splatlands from the resulting tsunami.
- The only survivor, Bear #03, affectionately nicknamed "Kuma-san" by his late human caretakers, finds himself in a foreign land in a foreign time, on the eastern coast of the Splatlands. He wanders across the desert to Alterna (inspiring the Splatlands' chupacabra myth), where he finds out the fate of the mammals from O.R.C.A. and crafts his plan.

- Operation "Dawn": From both sky and underground, Octarian forces invade and occupy key position in Inkopolis and steal it's Great Zapfish in the middle of it's annual Day of the Zapfish festival, aiming to choke out the Inklings until they suffocate.
- Captain Craig Atarime invites Akvilinia to join the New Squidbeak Splatoon as Agent 3. They accept.

JUNE June 1, 2015 -Marina meets Pearl for the first time. Jun 2, 2015 -Shiver and Frye hear the Calamari Inkantation for the first time and decide a cappella isn't going to cut it. Jun 3, 2015 -Shiver and Frye approach Big Man to make a piano cover of the Calamari Inkantation. Deep Cut as we know it is formed. Jun 1-Jun 14, 2015 -Marina returns to Mt. Nantai every day for two weeks. During this time, she stays at a motel in a nearby town at the foot of the mountain. June 14, 2015: -Marina meets Pearl for the second time; Off The Hook is formed. DECEMBER December 14, 2015: -Callie and Marie bring Algae along to attend the premiere of Fresh Fish VII: The Fish Awakens. — 2016 — JULY July 22-24, 2016: -Callie vs. Marie takes place. --Team Marie wins. --The Squid Sisters reach new heights of popularity. POST-SPLATOON (M.E. 2016-2017)

Aug, 2016 Algae comes out as trans to Callie and Marie over dinner. – 2017 — January, 2017: Squid Squad breaks up following a shootout between Ichiya and Ikkan during a performance at Starfish Mainstage. April, 2017: Judd is cloned, resulting in the creation of Li'l Judd. JUNE June 28th, 2017 -Deep Cut's Third Junior High Graduation Disaster. JULY July 7, 2017: -Off The Hook makes their debut as hosts of Inkopolis News. July 15, 2017: -Cake vs. Ice Cream (Splatfest World Premiere) takes place. -Team Ice Cream wins. July 18, 2017: -Marie visits her parents in Calamari County. -Callie frees Octavio from his snowglobe and defects to the Octarians. -Octavio returns to power after 2 years as a prisoner of war. -Camp Cuttle is re-occupied by Octarian forces. July 19, 2017: -Marie waits for Callie at the train station, but she never arrives. She tries asking Callie's manager where she is, to no avail. July 20, 2017: -The Vanishing Sister, Day 1 --Marie returns to former Camp Cuttle, only to find Octarians patrolling it and Octavio's snowglobe smashed. --Marie drives out all the Octarians from Tentakeel Outpost on her own, sustaining a serious injury in the process. This prompts her to recruit an Agent 4.
